Music that's not the same old, same old
Shindig DJs was founded by Chris, who was a kid in the 1980s and a bigger one in the 1990s. Like all the cool kids, he was brought up on a diet of pop, indie, hip hop, alternative and dance. In the mid-2010s, Chris was tired of hearing the usual rubbish music at parties and in bars and pubs. So, he did something about it: he bought some decks, raided his record collection and begged venues to book him. To his surprise, they did. And they paid him. And people kept coming up to him, saying they'd not heard that tune for years/OMG a Stone Roses b-side/why aren't you playing Little Mix or Mr Brightside?
Resident DJ at the swish Bar Fifty Eight, in Market Harborough, Chris has also supported Professor Green and Tynchy Stryder, is a regular summer festival draw at the Henshaws Yorkshire charity and was even chosen to
be pre-match DJ at Sheffield Wednesday's ground - which was scuppered due to violent storms...
But it's parties for 40 and 50-somethings that really see Shindig DJs in full effect - because Chris is able to play the tunes that the cool party goers grew up with. Think Stone Roses, New Order, Happy Mondays, KLF, Prodigy, Pet Shop Boys, The Coral, Talking Heads and you'll get the idea. Lovely.

Footballers hit the right note with Shindig DJs
Shindig DJs struck a kit sponsorship deal with Harborough Town U14s in 2022.
The agreement, which lasts for two seasons, has paid for the team’s red away kit, which has lessened the burden on parents during the cost of living crisis.
